The Red Stag (or Red Deer) is one of the Worlds largest deer species. Mature bucks will usually have racks with 12 or more points and can make a great addition as a trophy animal in any hunter’s collection. They naturally inhabit most of Europe, parts of Asia, and Northwest Africa. Red Deer were introduced into Australia and New Zealand with great results and Long Branch Creek Farm is aiming to achieve similar results in Mississippi, one hour from New Orleans, LA.Red Stag venison is excellent. This tender meat is rich in taste, high in protein and low in fat. Also, with the deer weighing in at about 200 for hinds and up to 400 for stags, you’ll have plenty of venison!

I would like to thank you for the hospitality and for this weekend hunting adventure hunting at Long Branch Creek Farm. It was truly a memory making weekend allowing my grandson to take his first deer at 5 years old. I have hunted a lot of places all over the country but have never been welcomed as I have been hunting with you. I really appreciate your attentiveness to our needs and assistance with making this dream come true for my little pal. As you know my father was supposed to come with us but due to his medical situation was unable to make the trip. One of his dreams a few years ago once he was diagnosed with dementia was that he had hoped to live long enough to see Brantley take his first deer. Even though he did not make the trip he is glowing with pride the same as we all are right now. Long Branch Creek was a huge part of making this a reality and it is very much appreciated. I would also like to thank Josh for everything he did for us during the hunt. He is a first class guide and without him and his patience this would not have become a reality either. He knows these animals like the back of his hand and was really a lot of help for us picking out the deer to take. Maybe next year I will settle down and not be as nervous while waiting on my little pal to pull the trigger. But that probably won’t happen. If you would like to use me as a reference, feel free too. I really appreciate the opportunity and Brantley, Diane and I are very much looking forward to next year.

My hunt at Long Branch Creek Farms was the most laid back peaceful hunting trip I've ever been on. I'm a long time bow hunter and this was the first Exotic hunt I've ever done, and not knowing what to expect you're mind wonders. Put your mind at ease at Long Branch, Charlotte & Harry have all the bases covered, The Cabin is very well equipped and the property is as peaceful as it is beautiful. I had no idea what to expect on my hunt with my guide Josh, because I've never done this type of hunt before and never did hunt with a guide, But he was very professional and gave me a good idea what to expect, and I am very pleased with the results from my hunt. Long Branch Creek Farms is a must if you are interested in a Red Stag Hunt.

My wife gifted me this hunt as an early Christmas present And this being my first guided hunt and the first time I’ve harvested anything other than a whitetail I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was without a doubt one of the best experiences I’ve had. Could not ask for a better more laid back guide. He put me on the stag of my choice and after harvesting took care of all the skinning. If you have never been on a guided hunt this is the perfect place to start. I will definitely be back!!
